Ukrainian grandmaster Martyn Kravtsiv – born within days of Carlsen and shaped by the same chess generation – annotates each game from a modern perspective. In every game he picks out a 'Magnus Moment': the special insight that sets the world champion apart, whether it is clarifying a messy situation, sacrificing for practical chances, or simply making the opponent's life hard regardless of the objective assessment.
